Hi all,
Hope everyone is well and all are taking care.
You may or may not have seen various postings on twitter with a number of serious allegations aimed at SolarX and the mining equipment.
In order to clear up any questions you may have, I thought it best to go into more detail. As much as I can at this stage.
So let us address the first accusation:
Some miners caught fire after I plugged it in and I had to use a fire extinguisher.
This is for the most part incorrect, the user was informed not to plug in one miner with the other miners as it may overload the supply and cause a failure, which it did and the miner shorted out. The user specifically utilized his own electrician who recommended otherwise against our instructions.
We were notified there was a video of this fire but we still have not seen any evidence of this.
Second accusation,
We won’t refund.
As an act of good faith and contrary to the terms and conditions of sale, we were more than prepared to replace the miner with a new unit free of charge and indeed made this offer, with the previous batch we also provided this as a courtesy, which was taken up by two persons so had no issues extending this even though the fault was not ours on this occasion.
However, before this could be agreed, the user had already publicly posted that it would cost anyone $700 to send back. In effect damaging our reputation and goodwill and again going against specific terms and conditions.
Third accusation.
SolarX miners are not safe and a fire hazard.
Two days after the incident with the shorted miner the user made another order for a considerable amount of mining rigs and paid in full.
To this day 99% of the original mining order and rigs are still up and running with the user with no faults reported and coins are continually being mined.
If they were a fire risk, would you not shut down the whole operation rather than risk it?
We were eventually unable to resolve the issue due to the user removing our tech support from the telegram chat and threatening legal action immediately, which is where we are currently on our end.
We take any allegations seriously and the safety of our users is paramount, this is borne out by the delay in shipping due to the reworking of the motherboard, we posted about this earlier in-group. The miners are now being shipped out with the completion of the backorder due this week.
We reserve all of our rights to proceed with any legal actions towards any person who falsely discredits our product and brand image and we are monitoring the situation closely.
Thanks again for your continued support,
